New Client Welcome + Agreements
Congratulations on taking the first step toward clearing both the internal and external clutter from your life. I’m excited to walk this with you. Below are our working agreements—please read carefully and sign to begin.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Vision + Plan: In our first session, we’ll clarify goals, define the scope, and create a simple timeline on a Trello board.
Session Length: Standard sessions are 3 hours. Longer sessions may be arranged in advance.
Collaboration: I’ll guide and pace the process; you make final decisions about what stays/goes.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Open Space Design provides hands-on decluttering, organizing, light space planning, and donation/haul coordination as agreed by email or during our visioning session. Services do not include construction, electrical, plumbing, or other licensed trades.
Scheduling + Payments
Booking: A 50% deposit secures your date(s). The remaining balance is due the day of the session (before we begin).
Packages: Multi-session packages are billed in full at purchase and are non-refundable. Packages expire 6 months from purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment Methods: Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Credit Card, or bank transfer.
RESCHEDULING + CANCELLATIONS
Rescheduling: You may reschedule with 48+ hours’ notice at no fee (up to 2 times).
Late Changes: With less than 48 hours’ notice or after the second reschedule, a 50% fee applies (or one package session may be forfeited).
No-Shows: Treated as a late cancellation.
ADDITIONAL FEES (Only If Applicable)
Travel: Sessions beyond 30 minutes each way may incur a travel fee (quoted in advance).
Off-Session Work: Research, sourcing, or product returns done outside session time will be pre-approved and billed at the session rate.
Donation Drop-Off / Haul-Away: Time and/or third-party fees are billed separately; I’ll confirm in writing before proceeding.
Supplies: Organizational products are billed at cost unless otherwise agreed.
SAFETY, PROPERTY + ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE
I take great care in your space. Still, decluttering involves moving items and working in tight areas. Client understands and accepts ordinary risk of minor nicks/scratches and agrees Open Space Design is not liable for accidental damage beyond the cost of the session. Please share any fragile/heirloom items that require special handling before we begin.
DECISION-MAKING + DISCARD AUTHORITY
You retain full decision-making authority. I will not discard, donate, or sell items without your clear consent. Once items are approved for discard/donation, I may remove or coordinate removal per our plan.
HEALTH, PETS + ACCESS
Please ensure clear access to areas we’re working in and secure pets/children for safety.
If there are pests, mold, biohazards, or smoke, I may pause service and we’ll reassess next steps.
PHOTOS + CONFIDENTIALITY
Confidentiality: Your privacy matters. Our work and conversations are kept confidential.
Before/After Photos (Optional): I love celebrating progress. With your permission, I may take photos; any public sharing will exclude identifying details. You can opt out below.
RESULTS + MAINTENANCE
Decluttering creates powerful momentum. Systems we set together work best when maintained between sessions. I’ll leave you with simple “next steps” so your space keeps working for you.
TERMINATION
Either party may end this agreement in writing. Client is responsible for payment for services rendered and any confirmed fees to date. Package purchases are non-refundable.

Absolutely not. Not even a bottle cap. You make all final decisions. I will only discard or donate items you’ve clearly approved.

Yes. Our sessions are confidential, and I will not share details of your work or story. With your permission, I may take before/after photos of your space, but identifying details will never be shown.

Yes, I can recommend or source products if desired. Costs for supplies are billed separately.

Yes. Either of us can end this agreement with written notice. Payments already made for past or future sessions are non-refundable.
